Win / Loss Decision
If the player's total is closer to 21 than the Dealer's without going over, the player wins. If both totals are equal, it is a Push and the bet is returned. A two-card total of 21 is called a Blackjack and normally pays 1.5x.
Card Values
A (Ace) — 1 or 11 (whichever is better for the hand); J, Q, K — 10 each; 2 through 10 — counted at face value. These rules are the same in every Blackjack game, so it is worth memorising the card values well.
